Elite drivers get 10% cash back on gas with Lyft Direct
When you pay for gas with a Lyft Direct debit card, you get instant access to cash back.* Plus, the higher your Lyft Rewards tier, the more you’ll save, at any gas station that accepts Mastercard. Don't have a Lyft Direct card? It's quick and easy to apply, no credit check required. Platinum drivers get 7% cash back, Gold drivers get 3% cash back, Silver drivers get 2%, and all other cardholders get 1%.
Save even more at the pump with Upside
Most drivers can get an additional $0.25/gallon back at eligible gas stations through our partnership with Upside.** And for a limited time, Elite, Gold and Platinum drivers can unlock extra savings.
To automatically get cash back with Lyft Direct and Upside, link your Lyft Direct card to your Lyft Rewards account. Find the best deal, get directions to that station, and collect cash back—all in your Lyft Driver app.

Enjoy more control over where you drive
Use improved ride filters to control where you want to drive. If you’re a Elite, Platinum or Gold driver, you’ll get additional ride filters daily. Just tap 'Destination mode' and choose your filter.
Choose nearby rides that work for you
You’ll now see pins on your map, showing rides near you, along with estimated pay and time to the pickup. Rides are offered to multiple drivers, so they’ll disappear when they’re no longer available.
Pause your Ride Streak
Take a 15-minute pause and pick back up where you left off—without breaking your streak.

Bonus Zones show busy areas on your map, with the exact amount you'll earn for driving in them. You’ll see these before you even go online.

Improved standards for riders
Time limits on mid-ride stops
If a rider exceeds the five-minute time limit, you can end the ride—and still get paid for the part you completed. Your rating won’t be affected.
Removing riders
Anyone who violates our Community Guidelines may be banned from using Lyft. And now when you rate riders, you can report specific issues. That information helps us take appropriate action.
