Making healthy food accessible in Pittsburgh
Connecting Pittsburgh residents with healthy food
Everyone deserves access to healthy, nutritious food. So we’ve partnered with 412 Food Rescue, grocery stores, and local public housing authorities to provide Pittsburgh residents in need with discounted Lyft rides to and from area grocers. Eligible participants receive $5 rides to and from participating grocery providers.*
Who is eligible to register?
To determine your eligibility and register for the Grocery Access Program, complete the registration form or contact either the Housing Authority of the City of Pittsburgh — or the Allegheny County Housing Authority
How do participants use their discounted rides?
- Each participant will need to have the Lyft app on their phone.
- Participants will be notified when ride credit has been added to their Lyft accounts.
- When ready to shop, participants simply open the Lyft app and enter their destination.
- Ride credit will be automatically applied to rides to and from participating grocery providers.
