Drivers earn more for providing an elevated experience to Extra Comfort riders. This starts with a newer, roomier vehicle and is capped off with high-quality service — like a clean car, a quiet ride, and help with luggage.
Since riders choose Extra Comfort for great service, drivers need to meet updated requirements to maintain access to Extra Comfort rides.
To maintain access to Extra Comfort rides, drivers need to meet the following criteria:
Drive an eligible vehicle
Complete at least 20 trips
Have a driver rating of 4.95 or higher
Have no more than one service flag in the last 100 rides
Have no more than one cleanliness flag in the last 100 rides
Have no more than one safety flag in the last 20 rides
Riders are more likely to give tips and 5-star reviews for Extra Comfort rides that offer an elevated experience, such as:
Riding in a car that’s clean inside and out
Being greeted by their first name and assisted with luggage
Having a calm, quiet and relaxing ride
You can see all of the eligibility requirements and how you stack up against them right in the Driver App. If you aren’t meeting a requirement, it’ll be clearly called out so you know what to improve.
What if my rating drops below 4.95?
If your rating falls below 4.95, you won’t be able to give Extra Comfort rides until your rating improves to 4.95 or higher.
What if I receive more than one safety, service, or cleanliness flag?
The first time you receive more than one flag in any category, you’ll receive a warning.
The second time you receive more than one flag in any category, you’ll lose access to Extra Comfort rides for three days. If you get additional violations, you’ll lose access to Extra Comfort rides for longer periods of time.
Once you regain access to Extra Comfort, prior flags will be removed from your account. You’ll receive a notification in your Driver app letting you know you have access again.
How can I see if I have access to Extra Comfort?
You can see if you have access to Extra Comfort in the Driver App. Find "Vehicles and Devices” in the side menu > Tap “Vehicles” > Tap “See details” for the vehicle you want to check > Tap “View eligibility details.”
How will I know when I regain access to Extra Comfort?
If you temporarily lose access to Extra Comfort rides, you’ll receive a notification in your Driver app when you have access again.
