Get Paid Instantly With the Lyft Direct Debit Card for Drivers

An illustration of the Lyft Direct Debit Card

The majority of 9-5 workers get paid twice a month — up to two weeks after doing the work. Contract workers often wait months to get reimbursed. On top of that, Americans pay an average of $163/year in bank fees*, often accumulating overdraft fees because they can’t go without the necessities while they wait for a paycheck. We’ve heard from drivers that even waiting 20 minutes for your Lyft earnings can be a burden, especially when you have to pay a fee to transfer your cash.

Today, we’re taking the first step to change all that. The Lyft Direct debit card and bank account lets drivers get paid instantly after every ride. So no matter how often you drive, if you need money fast, all you have to do is turn on your Lyft app. Your earnings will go straight to a secure, online bank account, powered by Payfare. Just your earnings right in your wallet — no transfer fees, no waiting periods.

We designed every feature of the Lyft Direct debit card to make the work of driving work better for you, like cash back deals on gas and no maintenance fees. Because driving should give you more economic security, not constraints.
