Easier rides home with Flexible rides
We’ve upgraded the Flexible ride experience to give riders an easier ride home.
Flexible rides from Lyft Concierge offer your riders more flexibility and independence, while resulting in about 82% fewer missed rides than Scheduled rides. With a Flexible ride, you set the pickup and dropoff locations, and we send the rider a link to request the ride when they’re ready.
Recently, we’ve made a couple of improvements to make it even easier for riders to get where they need to go.
Coordinator dispatch
Flexible rides give riders more control and take some of the ride management burden off your team. But we know that sometimes riders (especially those who aren’t so tech-savvy) might run into trouble, so now you can dispatch a Flexible ride on a rider’s behalf from the Concierge dashboard.
Just pull up the ride under ‘Upcoming’ in Concierge and click ‘Request now’ to dispatch the ride.
Flexible rides in the Lyft app
Like any Concierge ride, your riders don’t need the Lyft app. They’ll receive a link to their Flexible ride via text message and can request a ride from their phone’s browser.
But for riders who do have the Lyft app, we’ve made it easier for them to manage their Flexible rides. Under ‘Trips’ in the Lyft app, riders can find their Concierge rides in the ‘From others’ tab. Here they can view any available or upcoming Flexible rides, and request rides when they’re ready.
