Just in time for the Halloween festivities, we’ve teamed up with Widmer Brothers Brewing to debut ‘Closing Time IPA,’ a limited-release, canned beer complete with a Lyft discount code, available in select Portland bars starting this weekend. Each can of Closing Time IPA will include a unique Lyft promo code printed directly on the label that offers up to 50 percent off a single ride, encouraging craft beer aficionados to drink responsibly and get home safely at the end of the night.
To celebrate the beer’s launch, Widmer Brothers and Lyft will host a kick-off party on Thursday, October 25 at Loyal Legion. All Portlanders, age 21 and up, are welcome to attend. The event, which begins at 6 p.m., will include special prices on Closing Time IPA cans, and for every beer sold, Widmer Brothers and Lyft will donate one dollar to the Oregon chapter of Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD).
Closing Time IPA is a session IPA (under 5% ABV) brewed with experimental cold-pressed hops and hibiscus flowers. And did we mention that it’s pink?
