Our Commitment to Accessibility in NYC
As part of our commitment to help all New Yorkers enjoy the best of their city, we’ve made it even easier to request Access (wheelchair-accessible) rides. Now, you can request a wheelchair-accessible ride simply by entering your destination in the Lyft app, scrolling to ‘More’, and choosing Access. And to make your day even more hassle-free, you can schedule your next Access ride to lock in availability and price.
Schedule an Access Ride:
Open the Lyft app and enter your destination.
Scroll to ‘More,’ choose Access, then tap Schedule in the bottom-right corner of your screen.
Enter your pickup location and tap Confirm pickup.
Choose the date and time for your ride, then tap Set pick up time. You can schedule rides up to 7 days in advance.
Review the price and time of your ride, then tap Schedule and you’re all set.
Access Ride Tips:
Most of our wheelchair-accessible vehicles are rear entry, which means the ramp will fold out from the back. Requesting your Access ride from a street corner will help ensure a smooth pickup.
