Lyft partners with Delaney Rowe in new ‘Shoulda Taken A Lyft’ Campaign

May 3, 2023

Lyft taps creator, comedy writer, and actress, Delaney Rowe, to kick off a new campaign that finally says what everyone’s been thinking

POV you get into a rideshare and realize the passenger just before you was actually a cheeseburger! - ‘shoulda taken a Lyft.’

We’ve all been there. And at Lyft, we hear (and smell) your frustration, and want you to remember one thing: Unlike the other guys, we connect people to places, not pizzas.

As Lyft’s CEO, David Risher, recently shared, the company “has been too quiet for too long, and it's time to make some competitive noise again.”

That’s why today we’re launching Shoulda Taken a Lyft, a new campaign launching on TikTok with creator, comedy writer, and actress, Delaney Rowe (@DelaneySaysHello), who has created a series of original videos running throughout the month of May showing where she “Shoulda Taken A Lyft” instead. Delaney is known for her sketches ripe with over-the-top clever humor, coupled with relatable scenarios, making her the perfect creator to show those real-life(ish) situations where riders think, “I shoulda taken a Lyft.”

The collaboration with Delaney Rowe is a testament to the growing influence of social media influencers, especially among younger audiences as she has over 1.6 million followers on the popular social media platform. The content will appear on Delaney’s TikTok channel, and across Lyft’s brand social media channels throughout May, with the first video dropping today.
