Help for Those Impacted by Hurricane Idalia

Sep 1, 2023

In response to Hurricane Idalia, Lyft is committed to doing our part to help those in need. We’re activating our Lyft Up Disaster Response program to provide access to free and discounted rides to help those in Florida move to designated shelters and critical resources.

Rides can be accessed in the areas listed below using the code IDALIARELIEF23, valid for 2 rides up to $15 each, from now until 9/8 at 11:59 p.m. We recommend checking operational hours and availability before visiting the shelters, and following CDC guidelines when going to a public disaster shelter.

Lyft Up is our comprehensive effort to expand transportation access to those who need it most. Through Lyft Up, we partner with leading nonprofits to help provide access to free and discounted rides to individuals and families who lack affordable, reliable transportation.

Safety is fundamental to Lyft and we will continue to monitor the area’s conditions and communicate with Lyft drivers, riders, and government officials.  At this time, we’re focused on areas where we’re best able to support riders and drivers. As always, we look forward to providing access to rides to those who need them.

Our hearts go out to those impacted by Hurricane Idalia.
