The Wards Island Bridge is a pedestrian bridge connecting the East 103rd Street in Manhattan to Wards Island. A complete revamp and renovation was completed in early 2012. The bridge now features completely new operating machinery, an updated electrical system and a fresh paint job.
Today the 69th Regiment Armory serves its original function as the headquarters of and training center for the National Guard's Fighting Sixth-Ninth and continues to lend its drill hall for exhibition purposes.
