The New 42nd Street Studios is a 10 story, 84,000 square foot, state-of-the-art facility consisting of 5 floors of rehearsal studios, dressing rooms, showers and bathrooms; 3 floors of permanent office space housing 7 nonprofit performing arts companies; and The Duke on 42nd Street.
For seven weeks this spring, nine 16-to 20-foot-tall, human-shaped stone figures by Swiss-born, New York-based artist Ugo Rondinone, will transform Rockefeller Center, inhabiting the plaza between 49th and 50th Streets as if transported from another time.
