Los Angeles International Airport Pickups are Changing

Poster - laxpickups

Due to ongoing construction at LAX, all pickups except TCP-licensed Black and Black SUV will be moving to the new LAX-it lot near Terminal 1.

Starting Nov. 6, Lyft will have a new, dedicated pickup area at LAX-it (use West Century Boulevard to enter the lot).

Drop-offs will remain the same. We’ve added new features, like Fast Match code-based pickups, so it’s easier to find your passengers.

For all rides — except Black and Black SUV:

When you receive a request, drive from the staging lot to the new LAX-it lot adjacent to Terminal 1. If you get a ride that requires a pickup code (Fast Match), proceed to Zones 5 to 7 to meet your passenger and enter the code into your Lyft Driver app. Shared and XL pickups will be at Zone 6C.

For all Black and Black SUV rides:

When you receive a request, head to the arrivals (lower) level outer curb, and meet your passenger at the appropriate terminal door. Please note: Black and Black SUV airport rides are only available to drivers with a TCP license. Drivers without a TCP license are still able to give rides they are eligible for (XL, Shared) at the airport.

Getting to the LAX-it lot

Here’s how to get there:

  • From the queue, follow the in-app directions and enter the LAX-it lot from West Century Boulevard.

  • Upon entering, follow the signs and traffic control to the right pickup lane for your ride request.

  • All rides must exit on Sepulveda Boulevard or 96th Street.

Easier LAX pickups

These new features help support a smoother pickup experience during airport construction:

  • With Fast Match, passengers wait for the next available driver in the Fast Match line in Zones 5 to 7 of the LAX-it lot. When you pick up your passenger, ask for their Fast Match code and enter it into the app. You’ll then see their destination and can proceed from the LAX-it lot.

  • Black and Black SUV drivers with a TCP license will be able to pick passengers up at their arrival terminal. Learn more about TCP and how to apply for a TCP license › See you at the airport!
