Whether you’re driving to pay the bills, take control of your schedule, or meet interesting people, Lyft will help you get there. The Lyft Driver app matches you with local passengers, and lets you earn when you want. When the ride’s over, passengers pay in the app, and tips are always 100% yours.
EARN ON YOUR OWN TERMS
Location is everything. From commuter stops downtown to weekend surf spots in Pacific Beach, we’ll help you find the areas where you’ll earn the most, every day of the week.
Local events like Comic Con and CRSSD Festival bring the biggest crowds. At select venues, we’ll show you the exact door or arena entrance, so pickups and drop-offs are always convenient.
Lyft is available at San Diego International Airport. The app helps you navigate local airports, and shows you where to pick up, where to drop-off, and where to wait for requests.
A FEW NECESSITIES
You’ll need to meet the age requirement for your region, have a smartphone, and pass an online DMV and background check. Requirements vary across cities.
You’ll need four doors and 5 to 8 seats — including yours (bonus points for a nice ride: You may qualify for premium modes). Your car will also need to meet your city’s year requirement.
