LYFT GROCERY ACCESS PROGRAM
Making healthy food accessible in Washington, DC
Connecting Washington, DC residents with healthy food
In Washington, DC, only 3 grocery stores serve more than 150,000 residents living in Wards 7 and 8. To help ensure families and seniors living in these neighborhoods have access to healthy, nutritious food, we're providing discounted Lyft Shared rides to and from participating Ward 7 and 8 grocery stores and Martha's Table.
Grocery Access for families
In partnership with Martha’s Table, we’re providing eligible families $2.50 Lyft Shared rides to and from participating Ward 7 and 8 grocery stores and Martha’s Table.
How do participants use their discounted rides?
- Participants will have their ride credits in the Lyft app when they get their verification email.
- When ready to shop, participants simply enter their destination and select Shared.
- A $2.50 or $1.50 ride payment will be automatically applied to participants’ Shared Lyft rides to and from participating grocery providers.
