For most, cancer has greatly impacted our lives or our loved ones, and the race to discover cures continues. When it comes to ending cancer, you can make a difference starting on May 31 by tapping Round Up & Donate in the Lyft app to sit for cancer cures. Donations will go directly to Seattle-based, Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. Fred Hutch has been pioneering discoveries and cancer cures, such as bone marrow transplantation, since 1975.

“We are thrilled that Lyft made Fred Hutch a priority. Lyft passengers can turn every ride into fuel for cancer research because every day we are working to cure cancer faster. I can’t wait for my next Lyft ride,” said Kelly O’Brien, Fred Hutch Vice President of Philanthropy.

Help fund lifesaving cancer research by going to ‘Settings’ in your app, tap ‘Round Up & Donate,’ choose Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center (Fred Hutch) as your cause, then take a ride. Opt-in once and Lyft will automatically round up your future fares to the nearest dollar and donate the difference.

Seattleites are some of the most generous contributors to Round Up and Donate, and we’re excited to join forces with Fred Hutch as one of the first locally based partners in the program’s history.

So, go ahead: Hit the button. Ending cancer is hard, sitting to cure cancer is easy.
