Heather Freeland has joined Lyft as our new VP of Marketing Operations.  Previously Head of Global Marketing Communications at Facebook, Heather oversaw all B2B global marketing programs, creative, digital marketing, brand strategy, and marketing operations. Heather and her team drove creative strategy, digital media planning, and buying for Facebook’s advertising platforms.

We’re also very excited to announce that Jabari Hearn – a world-class leader who has grown iconic brands – is joining Lyft as VP of Brand. Jabari comes to us from Google where he served as Global Marketing Director for their Mobile, Laptops, and Wearables segment.

Jabari was responsible for driving a $2 billion product portfolio that included the Google Pixel, Pixel Book, and Google Slate. Before that, he spent more than 10 years at Nike and launched major scale campaigns including the Nike x NFL partnership. Jabari was also instrumental in launching Nike’s EQUALITY campaign, currently in its third year, and paved the way for Nike’s work with Colin Kaepernick on behalf of the company’s core values.

Joy Howard has made the decision to pursue another opportunity outside of Lyft. Joy has established a winning brand strategy for Lyft and has built a world-class team. In her new role, Joy will be pursuing her passion for digital rights, privacy and net neutrality. Please join us in welcoming Heather and Jabari and thanking Joy for her contributions!
