Lyft is proud to announce that Dana Rasmussen is joining the company as Chief People Officer effective July 28, 2025.

Dana is a strategic and results-oriented leader with over 20 years of experience at high-growth technology and consumer-brand companies. Her diverse experience spans Fortune 500 tech giants, venture-backed start-ups, and public companies, making her uniquely positioned to accelerate Lyft’s purpose as it embarks on its next phase of growth.

Dana has led highly distributed teams across time zones, from home care and warehouse workers, to stylists, to all central corporate functions. At Flywheel Sports and Honor, she supported rapid growth, more than doubling the sizes of the teams while maintaining industry-leading retention rates.

Most recently, Dana served as the Chief People & Culture Officer at Stitch Fix, where she transformed talent development, drove cultural evolution during rapid scaling and implemented data-driven people strategies that directly contributed to business transformation. She was hyper focused on driving employee engagement across an international team of thousands. Her strategic, confident, and hands-on approach will propel Lyft as it expands internationally to fulfill its purpose: to serve and connect drivers and riders across the world.

“Lyft is the total package for me, and strikes that rare balance - an incredible foundation with so much potential ahead. It’s a company poised for meaningful growth, and I’m honored to be part of that journey,” said Dana. “What inspires me most is Lyft’s commitment to customer obsession and innovation. I’ve long been a Lyft loyalist, and when my dad needed wheelchair-accessible rides, Lyft was the only platform that made it seamless to plan and get him where he needed to go. That experience stuck with me. It’s a reflection of what this company stands for and why I’m so proud to now be a part of it.”

Today, Dana turns to Lyft for an evening out to a local restaurant, commuting across the city, and getting to and from the airport. She will be based in San Francisco and report to Lindsay Llewellyn, Chief Legal and Business Officer, and longtime executive veteran who has led Lyft through many phases over the past 11 years. From joining Lyft as its first litigator to building the company’s legal function over a decade, Lindsay’s longstanding leadership has been foundational to the company’s continued growth.
