Lyft x LUAR: Getting Fashion Where It Needs to Go
Fashion week moves fast, but this season, Lyft rolled up to NYFW alongside LUAR to make the ride there be a part of the show.
For LUAR's SS27 show in September 2026, Lyft partnered with the acclaimed fashion house, led by designer Raul Lopez, to solve one of NYFW's biggest logistical puzzles: how do you get hundreds of guests to a show staged outside the typical fashion week circuit?
LUAR chose The Unisphere in Queens for its venue, a purposeful departure from the typical Manhattan runway. That's where Lyft came in, becoming part of how guests arrive in style.
From the Curb to the Catwalk
Getting hundreds of guests to Queens meant the ride there had to feel just as considered as the show itself — so Lyft Black vehicles carried invited guests, while our recently acquired luxury chauffeur service TBR handled select attendees, ensuring every arrival matched the caliber of the event.
Then came a standout moment: the first model arrived in a Lyft Black vehicle, setting the tone before a single look hit the runway. Raul Lopez even made his own entrance for the designer walk in a LUAR x Lyft co-branded golf cart.

LUAR also opened part of the show to the public — a rare move for NYFW — and Lyft made it easy for that broader guest list to attend, too, offering ride codes to help everyone get to the venue during one of the most demanding weeks in fashion.

The collaboration kept going even after the last look hit the runway, with LUAR and Citi Bike powered by Lyft branded helmets popping up at the nearest Citi Bike station with a surprise drop to help guests ride safely from the show to the after-party.
An Unexpected Role, By Design
Lyft has supported independent designers throughout NYFW for years, but this partnership went a step further, becoming part of the story of how the most fashionable people got to the show.
The timing also landed alongside Hispanic Heritage Month, a fitting backdrop given Lopez's Dominican-American story and his influence as one of the most talked-about voices in American fashion today.
"This show isn't just about the runway – it's about how you arrive, how you move, and who's part of the story alongside you. Partnering with Lyft let us bring that idea to life in a real way, from the first model stepping out of the car to how we got every guest to our SS27 show at the Unisphere in Queens. It felt less like a brand partnership and more like welcoming Lyft into the LUAR world we've built," says Raul Lopez, founder and creative director of LUAR. "Luxury exists wherever you take it. Lyft helped us bring ours to Queens, so the arrival felt as luxurious as the show itself."
Getting hundreds of guests to Queens could've been a footnote. Instead, LUAR and Lyft made it part of the story. We loved playing that role for this show and we're excited to build on as we look for more unexpected ways to show up for the moments that matter to our riders.
