Help After Hurricane Ian

Sep 30, 2022

Update: As of 10/6/22 at 1:00 p.m. ET, we have exhausted our supply for this program. We encourage those who need additional support to reference the Florida Disaster Response site for more information. We are currently exploring additional opportunities for transportation partnerships, so please check back here later.

In the aftermath of Hurricane Ian, Lyft is committed to doing our part to help those in need. We’re activating our LyftUp Disaster Response program to provide access to free and discounted rides to help those affected in Florida move to designated shelters and critical resources.

Rides can be accessed using the code IANRELIEF22, valid for two rides up to $15 each, from now until October 7 at 11:59pm, or while rides are available. We recommend visiting Florida’s Division of Emergency Management’s website to find the nearest shelter, and checking operational hours before visiting.

We will continue to monitor conditions and take action as needed. As always, the safety of the Lyft community is our priority, and we encourage drivers and riders in impacted areas to follow guidance from state and local officials and avoid flooded areas.

Our hearts go out to those impacted by the storm.

Through LyftUp – our comprehensive effort to expand transportation access to those who need it most – we partner with leading nonprofits to help provide access to free and discounted rides to individuals and families who lack affordable, reliable transportation.
