At Lyft, we believe in recognizing, celebrating, and supporting the contributions of incredible Black women and men throughout history and within our communities today. That is why during the month of February, we’ll be providing one free ride up to $10* to Black history museums, memorials, and relevant cultural sites, as well as to Black-owned businesses throughout various communities in which we serve. The full list of participating cities, designated locations, and codes are below.

We’re also celebrating the one-year anniversary of our partnership with Black Girls Code, an organization committed to increasing the representation of African-American women in technology through providing girls with coding skills needed to thrive in the digital space. This effort to empower the next generation of young women of color has raised over $350,000 to date, and you too can support Black Girls Code by opting into Lyft’s Round Up and Donate program here.

Lyft’s commitment to diversity and inclusion extends from our offices to the communities in which we serve. We believe the more we understand the diverse needs of our workforce and communities the better we are positioned to provide services, solutions, and products that make a positive impact. Leveraging diversity and inclusion also enables us to hire and retain top talent and win in a diverse marketplace.

Much has been done, much remains to be done, and Lyft is honored to step up today to do our part to continue building inclusive and more connected communities while helping provide greater opportunity for the leaders of tomorrow.
