Lyft Gave Business Travelers Something They Actually Wanted. Here's What Happened

Lyft Business Rewards: One Year Later

Last summer at GBTA 2025, Lyft announced the launch of our Lyft Business Rewards Program — a program designed to give business travelers rich rewards on business rides, with no strings attached.

One year later, we're back at GBTA 2026 to share results.

In Q2 2026, Business Profile new enrollees and new riders taking their first ride were each up well over 100% year-over-year. Lyft doesn't report at the segment level but as you can imagine rewards eligible business profile rides have shown results we are happy with. Here's what we learned, what we built, and where we're headed.

Built Around What Travelers and Admins Actually Asked for

Before we launched in August 2025, we surveyed thousands of business travelers and spoke with travel managers across the country. Two things came through clearly:

  1. Travelers want rewards that feel like rewards — flexible Lyft Credits to spend on any ride, and travel partner accelerators (more miles with United or Atmos or more Hilton Honors points). Perks that make road warriors feel like the road is working for them.

  2. Travel managers want transparency without the surprises. Unlike programs that start ‘free’ and quietly flip into a monthly subscription, Lyft Business Rewards is free to join and free to keep. No surprise membership fees for your employees.

And when both of those things are true, something else happens: managed program compliance follows. When travelers can earn rich rewards without the threat of fees, they use their company-sponsored business profile. That means rides that used to slip outside of expenses stay visible — giving travel managers the rideshare spend data they've always needed.

What riders earn, automatically

Eligible business travelers earn on every qualifying business ride, with no extra steps required:

  • Lyft Credits

    • 6% on standard rides

    • 8% on premium, airport, and scheduled rides

    • Credits are available for use within 60 days of earning for any personal or business ride.

  • Accelerated partner rewards

    • Hilton Honors™ Points

    • United MileagePlus® miles

    • Atmos™ points

  • Automatic expense integration — ride receipts go directly to your expense system. No manual uploads.

What’s Next?

Lyft is continuing to grow in two directions.

  1. Up. We're going higher-end — through our deepening integration into luxury travel with the addition of TBR Global Chauffeuring, we’re expanding premium ride options for travelers who want a more elevated experience.

  2. Out. We're going global — extending Lyft into Europe and Asia through our acquisitions of Freenow by Lyft, Gett UK, and TBR Global Chauffeuring, so travelers can ride wherever work takes them.
